NCIA’s Youth in Transition School
NCIA’s Youth in Transition School (YIT) is a nonpublic, full-day special education program for students ages 11-21 with significant barriers such as autism, emotional disabilities, and intellectual disabilities. The YIT provides individualized care to address students’ physical, psychological, intellectual, and social needs, helping them overcome behavior, clinical, and learning difficulties and often achieve academic success for the first time.
The safety and comfort of the students is of utmost importance. NCIA set out a goal to replace the existing Gymnasium flooring with a product that would deliver superior sound absorption and offer enhanced resilience.
To achieve this, NCIA chose Roppe’s new durable athletic flooring solution, Shock Guard Multi-Use Vinyl sheet. Constructed of seven layers, it is the thickest ASTM F2772 Class 2 vinyl sheet flooring in the market today and delivers maximum impact resistance to reduce fatigue, and prevent injuries.
A thank you note sent by NCIA:

Thank you for delivering a beautiful and functional addition to our school that will inspire students for years to come!”
